Pilates is something you can do a little of everyday with amazing results. It's an exercise designed to strengthen & elongate the body by emphasizing balance, proper breathing & core strength & stability.
Pilates unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension, reduces inflammation, and promotes health and well being. Regular practice will help you reach, improve and perfect poses, correct posture and positioning and improve your flexibility.
My name is Jo, otherwise know as the Pilates Fairy!
I’m a qualified Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor with over 10 years experience of teaching.
In addition, I am trained in Pilates specifically modified for Orthopaedic and Musculo-skeletal issues as well as Standing Pilates to help improve balance and strength. I also have training which allows me to work with pre & post-natal clients offering individualised sessions or modified classes for their specific requirements.
My classes are suitable for all levels and abilities and are available throughout the week.
Pilates can benefit everyone regardless of their experience as every move can be modified or progressed so it will build strength without bulk, improve flexibility and enhance appearance as well as performance.
Practised regularly you can benefit from more efficient respiratory, lymphatic and circulatory systems, a stronger, healthier and supported spine, boosted immune system, increased bone density and joint mobility.
Pilates is a great way to improve your endurance in other physical activities. After a run, or heavy workout, Pilates will help your body relax while stretching, strengthening, and lengthening the muscles you were just working on.

Pilates is the best thing I've found to strengthen my core, improve my flexibility and help sortout a problem bulging disc. Jo makes the classes fun and caters for all sorts of levels by providing options for each exercise depending on how much you can do.

I hurt my back several years ago, my core and belly muscles were weak and really knocked my confidence. After two C-sections I thought it was too late to do anything about it (my children are 14 & 11). Then I went to one of Jo's classes. Jo as been amazing and helped me build up, not only, strength but confidence to gain back what I thought would be lost forever. I’ve been going to Jo’s classes following two lots of surgery for ACL reconstruction. It’s been 18 months now and what a difference the sessions have made to my overall flexibility and wellbeing. Jo is patient, there are different levels for each exercise so that you can build up your core strength over time - there’s no rush! Jo is more than a fairy, she’s a star!
